Share a Skill

Got a passion for something, or a skill you think you can share? Anything from knitting to welding is a skill that one of our members would love to learn, why not come and show us how it's done? Spare a hour to teach a young person a new skill for life

The Big Adventure

Help us get kids outside in the great outdoors, from driving a minibus, to making sandwiches for a hike all the way up to taking them abroad on an international camp, adult and young people volunteers play a vital role in our ability to deliver a wide range of adventurous activities and you can play a role in delivering this, no matter how small.

  • How can I get involved as a parent?

    Speak to any of our volunteer leaders, parents can volunteer in various roles, from assisting with activities to administrative support. Involvement is encouraged and always gratefully received.

  • Is Scouting inclusive?

    Yes, Scouting is open to all young people regardless of background, ability, or faith. It promotes diversity and inclusion. Since 1976 Scouting has warmly welcomed both boys and girls into the movement.

  • How are safety and safeguarding ensured?

    Safety is a top priority. Activities are risk assessed, and leaders are trained in first aid and safeguarding. Policies are in place to protect all members.

  • Who will be looking after my child?

    Trained adult volunteers lead Scouting activities. All leaders undergo background checks and receive training in safeguarding and safety.
